Great Easter meal out with parents. Love this type of non chain pub food. Great chunky home made chips. Only downside is no deserts here.

This is how a pub should be. Great food, ales and the atmosphere was very nice. They also stock The Ouseburn Coffee Company which was lovely on a cold day. Dogs are allowed and there is even a dog food menu! This place is much better than just a few years ago. Can not recommend enough. We will be back!!

This is a proper pub with a good range of beers and good rustic pub food. Even better value with the taste card 2 for 1 offer.
Good music and entertainment scheduled.

Definitely a proper pub. Good atmosphere, proper seating and great food. Visited with my sons, on Friday evening, and we were so impressed we went back last night. Food obviously freshly prepared, great sausages, burgers and meat sandwiches. My sons tell me the beer is good, there was certainly a good choice.
Also important for us...the dog was welcome and his bowl of water arrived with our drinks. Several dogs in on both nights, all were on leads and well behaved.
My sons had been there before, my first visit, will definitely go back.
I think the detractors must be Toby carvery people, unable to appreciate a pub that actually caters for people who want a proper beer and a place to sit. Too many pubs have become bog standard eating houses, catering only for families and offering the same tired old menus.
Well done Brandling Villa!

The Brandling Villa perfectly encapsulates the spirit and experience of visiting a "proper pub".

The food is exceptional and the staff both accomodating and friendly.

We moved to the area in 2011, and pop in regularly and it is always lively.

The events including the famous sausage festival are well worth attending!!

Regular music nights, pub quizzes are held to ensure that the punters are getting real value for money.

I could say more but `proper pub` lovers wont be reading this!

Get yourself down and check it oot!
