“Calling all 'Beef Eaters'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

If you enjoy a Sunday roast look no further, excellent meat, good quality veg. I have recommended this pub to so many people but never got around to an actual review.
The main bar is spacious, there are several smaller areas which have a cosy almost country pub feel to them. The bar is situated opposite the Central Station so a lot of travellers stop here for lunch. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff good humoured even when rushed off their feet. Don't worry if you have the family hound in tow, we have seen dog owners in the main bar. Above all the place is clean.
If you venture downstairs you will be in for a surprise worth the effort.

“Best place in newcastle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

After hearing many friends raving about this pub, I decided to give it a try. My friends' judgement was right. The food was delicious, and well presented. The staff were very professional and extremely friendly and courteous. I have friends coming from Leeds for a weekend visit, and I will certainly introduce them to this pub/restaurant.

Simply put; great food, great beer and great service. You can't go wrong with wylam breweries and a pint of toon wall. In other words the pub is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

“Homemade pub food with good beers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

Popped in for a quick spot of lunch and ordered a mixed sharing platter. Plenty for two if us and with it all being homemade it gave the whole thing a lift from your average pub grub. Nice surroundings and staff, would recommend giving it a try.

“Runny scotch eggs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

Love this pub! Great ales and lovely, rustic atmosphere. Enjoyed a lads' day out here a few weeks ago, the runny scotch eggs went down a treat and were good value for money. Definitely try the food here, we saw a few burgers go out and they looked amazing. We will be back. Cheers!
