My first stay here, but it's one to remember and visit again. Rooms are well above the average chain hotel, well equipped (including a microwave oven) and give a very trendy, stylish feel. The decor is clean and easy, finding that rare point between minimalist 'bland' and overdressed 'theme' which so many hotel fail to achieve. Whilst the rooms differ significantly in size, all those seen were spacious and airy with lots of light and very efficient heating/air con. Bathrooms include a wet room style shower which is is a real plus, allowing much more space than the usual bath and shower combo. Clearly the hotel is new, but is very clean - no in-built grime found in so many hotel corners.
Wifi worked well throughout and gave a fast free connection immediately on connection.
Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the city centre which sits only a few mins walk from the hotel.
The very stylish entrance, with flames in the entrance windows is however complimented by an almost full size black horse bearing a standard sized black lampshade on its head. No doubt placed there for effect, the significance of this artwork was never explained - an intriguing piece of sculpture!
If a hotel is able to be described as sexy, this one is. The style, comfort and staff worked together very well and you left feeling it would be good to return.More
