What a great place to go for special food, we've been a few times but always on a lunch.
Easy to park and great service, I would highly recommend for a lunch not to forget

“Fantastic meal”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Went here for a new years eve meal and it was lovely! All courses were well cooked and very tasty, i really liked the pre-desert a lovely touch to add to the meal. The wine is a good price with plenty of choice.

Good atmosphere with fast laid back service

Highly recommended

“An unexpected Sunday lunch”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We called at The Biscuit Factory on the way home from Edinburgh intending to look round the gallery and eat in their cafe but it was closed due to a private function so we were pleased to find David Kennedy's open. The Sunday lunch menu included traditional beef roast and other options. My party of three chose two beef and a salmon. The food was very well cooked, seasoned and presented and we enjoyed the unexpected Sunday lunch immensely. The staff were all welcoming and helpful and the bill surprisingly light. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

“Not as good as last time but still very nice”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Attended with my wife and having been before was looking forward to it. Atmosphere very pleasant as usual and very relaxed. Staff are very attentive without being intrusive. They are also knowledgeable about the sourcing of the food especially as much of it is from local producers. The only slight issue was the pheasant was slightly overdone but not to the point where it needed sending back (still very tasty though). The rest of the food was very nice. Staff were quick to inform chefs about my comments as well as apologise and suitable adjustments were made to ensure that our meal was not affected in any way further.

Another very nice experience - good food, good service, good atmosphere.

“atmospheric, great food and staff”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

This was a birthday meal for 6. The room is great and airy - I can't stand stuffy, dark little restaurants, you might as well eat in a coal bunker. The food was excellent, especially the parsnip soup, fish and venison, the service was quick and the food was served nicely hot. The staff were attentive and friendly without being ingratiating and false. Good selection of wines, ports and whiskies, with some great blue cheeses to go with the Cockburn's (just ask, they'll give you an all-blue cheese board). The only slight reservation was the cottage pie; it was very tasty but also very rich, heavy and filling - have a very light lunch and starter if you intend to order this. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
