This restaurant has become more integrated with the biscuit factory and the art it has to offer, by opening up a wall and putting in a window. This allows you to look into the gallery whilst dining and during lunch time for people viewing the gallery to look into the restaurant. This was our third visit to the restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The food is excellent, the menu is imaginative, the service is friendly, the setting is interesting and the daily evening menu is excellent value. This restaurant is a must visit experience while in Newcastle.

A friend and I blundered into this restaurent in the Biscuit Factory and were the first customers at midday. At first we thought we might be the only ones there for lunch but were pleased to see a steady stream of people arrive so that the place was soon quietly buzzing with people in the know. When our food arrived we understoon. We both went for the £10 set menu. For me this meant crispy squid and then roasted wood pigeon then coffee. Both were delicious and an incredible bargain as were our soft drinks which meant our bill came to only £27. Go!

We were in the area and decided to pop in to see if we could get a table. The place hadn't opened as such however we were welcomed in to wait.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were presented with the regular menu and early bird special, we both chose from early bird special (3 courses for £15) The food was exceptional and portions generous.
This place is a must for anyone in Newcastle or visiting Newcastle for either great value eats or for that special occasion.
Keep up the outstanding work.

We just got back to the US after 15 days in Great Britain - David Kennedy's was the best meal we had on our trip. We got there early enough to take advantage of the early dinner menu - just 15 pounds per person for three courses! The food was wonderful and locally-sourced. The service was friendly and attentive without being overly formal. There was a large group dining at the same time, but the staff gave us just as much attention as that group. We had a 7-course meal at Gordon Ramsey's Maze restaurant later in our trip, but David Kennedy's was still my favorite, at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food; smart, friendly, professional staff; subdued music, calm ambience. The total bill for three of us, each having three courses from the full menu with pre-dinner drinks and bottle of wine came to £120-at £40 a head excellent value for food of this quality in such classy surroundings.
