A bridge? Yes. But probably the ultimate symbol of Tyneside, well ahead of recent additions such as the Angel.

Of all the bridges over the Tyne it means something to walk or drive over the Tyne Bridge. It is Newcastle, it is the Great North Run, it is an amazing view from the Quayside.

It needs a lick of paint but it is Newcastle!

Speaks for itself, one of those places or things you just have to do, very interesting views looking down and the history is all there to see.

Very iconic bridge as it well worth a look. It has spectacular views when you either drive or walk across it. It really is a landmark for Newcastle. Well worth a visit

I live on Tyneside and you cannot miss the Tyne Bridge, not only a local and international landmark, but one of my places to visit as a 'kid'. The towers at the north end had lifts (elevators...for our USA friends) down to the Quay-side market....cost 1p (old money).

The bridge will always be the symbol of our great city.
