Most of the exhibits are out of date and could be revamped, the science room had a few bits that didnt work or had bits missing...

We found this Museum by accident. We had a great afternoon spent here, which entertained a 4 year old as well as a 9 year old and Mum and Dad. Fascinating things, such as a real boat, Science Maze and Play Tyne, which is a water area. Lots of experiments for little hands to play with, knobs to turn and poke. There is a dressing up area a small cinema and a long corridor of time. Food is available from two different cafes is also great for people with disabilitys as there is a lift and ramps.
A Great Day Out

Thank Ann P

Free entry and well worth a visit if you have children. Lots of hands-on stuff to experiment and try out.

Visited on Saturday after a rather disappointing visit to another 'museum' in Newcastle. Had a fab time! My daughter especially enjoyed the river replica where she played for ages with the boats and fish in the water! Aprons provided were a life saver as we all got wet!!
Will definitely recommend a visit and will be going again soon, it's all free too :) absolute gem!!
