A very nice pub in a lovely part of town. The Cluny sometimes has excellent music on, I was lucky enough to catch a charity gig where the Young Liars played, I didn't even mind drinking out of a plastic glass because I was having so much fun and you could tell the men on the stage were too. There is a great selection of friendly, welcoming and attractive bar staff; even the blokes are fit! If you're hungry there's a great selection of snacks like muffins and kit kats that you can just buy and eat straight away. Well worth a visit.

It was my husbands and myself s visit experience of the cluny. We were here to see the Cat men . It was a great venue for this gig acoustics very good and the type of venue we enjoy . It was well organised and there was no hassle . A bit difficult to find but we got a taxi that did not cost too much . Overall a great evening

Pretty legendary bar/music venue in Newcastle, we popped in on for a couple whilst away on a long weekend. Really friendly service, bar staff actually seemed happy to serve, no sense of aloofness, just no nonsense great smiling service! The selection they had at the bar was extensive, although it was a craft beer special event (that said it looked like they carried a good few beers as regulars anyway) As to be expected in a bar / live Music venue, the music was good, in an alternative indie vibe. There was a good mix of ages, the bar is large and open, and prices very reasonable. Recommended, we'll definitely be back if in the area.
