Belsay Hall often has interesting exhibitions. The grounds are lovely and the house is worth a look.

“Fun day out for the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Kids loved the walk through the woods to the castle and exploring all the nooks and crannies. Plenty to do but not a lot of shelter on a wet day so bring your waterproofs!

“WASTED SPACE...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

I love Belsay Hall and Gardens. Great value for money as you get to see the Hall, The Quarry Garden, The Castle and the Lake!

Great day out for couples or families.

There was a great exhibition a while ago. Inside the hall were sculptures that were so realistic. The hall is empty and it's such a shame. The space should be used throughout the year for local or international artists to display their work.

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We visited Belsay for the afternoon during our short stay just outside of Morpeth and I am so glad we did. The architecture was astounding but nothing could beat the beauty of the gardens even on a damp autumnal day. Sadly the quarry walk was closed due to flooding but the beauty of the quarry gardens would be hard to beat. The cafe was well appointed and good value for money with something for everyone. Lovely cheery staff. Our youngest child had a ball exploring the paths with his sister.
