Really good time yesterday collecting leaves, berries etc to make paint and do pictures. Grandkids loved it and was an inexpensive couple of hours. Will have to try other events sometime.

Even though it used to be an old pit heap it is now a beautiful area for walkers, runners, bikers and riders. Set in Newcastle's green belt the are many tracks to explore.

This walk is an easy one and a hit with the kids. Flat surface and a few animals to see along the way. There is a park and cafe here with toilet facilities. Wrap with warm if the weather isn't to good but worth a visit. Free parking and Dogs allowed.

I visit the park every week to join in the Park run that is held every Saturday morning , I’m also often here with my children for walks . It’s a great place to be amongst nature. The cafe is a great treat to visit for a bacon sandwich and a cupa after a run or some soup of the day with homemade bread when I’m with my children . Staff and the service provided have been impeccable and super friendly.

Large park, can spend all day here. There's an on site car park, kids play area & activity centre for pre-booked kids activities. There's a cafe with outside seating, there's also an asda & mcdonalds right next to the park. Lots of different signposted walks, lakes, fields, woodlands and a great view from the top of the hill. Definitely recommend a visit!

A great little place off the beaten track. Good food and excellent walks around the area. Holds a variety of classes for children and babies.

Worst cafe I've ever been in. The fruit scones were like bricks £1.60 each. The hot chocolate was cold the replacement was warm. Wasps everywhere even inside. Tables dirty and uncleared. First and last time for me

Visit the park every day with my dog and at least once a month go for coffee or lunch to the coffee shop. Quite basic food however very tasty. Sometimes find there are insufficient tables outside however there are more inside.
Views whilst eating are fab
