Not obvious from the main road but once the single country lane has been negotiated, the facility is exceptional. Plenty parking available. Good wholesome home cooking.

Plenty of walking plus a very good cafe with very good home cooked food. Gets very busy during school holidays but still well worth visiting. Not sure of opening hours outside of school holidays but definitely worth finding out and giving it a try.

Make sure you look out for the stag which makes regular appearances in the fields. Also lots of birds to recognise.

Try mushrooming. The are many to find here, but obviously be careful of varieties. Also good for Sloes too.

This is a hidden gem, the park puts on lots of activities even for older kids, ours loved the archery and outdoor adventurers and you can have birthday parties there - denbuilding and camoflague was brilliant for our kids. For adults you can do cycling, nordic walking or take in the dawn chorus and learn about birds. The cafe is a little oasis with gorgeous cooked breakfasts and the best bacon ever! Little ones love the water stream in the summer - definitely a perfect day out for the family dont miss it!

We use the park everyday for walking the dog. Great trails to follow and fantastic views from the top of the hill. Plenty of dogs to play with who have friendly owners, can't fault it.
