Stayed the night before our flight on a stay, park and fly deal. Staff were lovely, no hassle getting taxi to and from hotel to airport. Our room was lovely and very quiet. Would not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed for a whooping 9 nights at this hotel hence we believe we saw it all. To start off, before booking, we enquired if the elements menu is available for the whole day during the Christmas and New Year for which we were told yes so we booked our stay through the website. To our surprise, there was no lunch available during the holiday period and there were some sandwiches which were offered. The limited food we had was very good and the club sandwiches were well made.

The staff were brilliant and covered the deficiencies of the hotel except one lady at the bar who was trying to chat up the guys and would make faces when we asked for something.

There were very good reviews earlier so booked the hotel. We were aware that the parking per day costs £5 hence weren't surprised however we were puzzled to find that Travelodge and Toby Carvery right opposite the hotel offer free parking (as far as we knew) - didn't understand the need to pay but we agreed as it was mentioned on the website.

The superior room was spacious, contained mini bar, sofa and a good sized bed however we have never been to a hotel which has a toilet separate from the bathroom. Also, if you are staying at the hotel, please do not try to adjust the room temperature ever! Looked like a hotel stuck in 90s.

The pool was very small, not really child friendly if your child is below 7 years old. There was no one to supervise the pool at any point of time although the hotel is advertised as child friendly however they do have cameras installed. The gym has 3 machines, not much to say than this!

The lifts were temperamental, we got stuck in one of the lifts, one of the lifts displayed '0' all the time whilst we were on 2nd floor, wouldn't really come to 2nd floor after pressing button once and would have to wait patiently for upto 10 minutes before deciding to take the stairs to find both lifts on the ground floor empty!

This was the only hotel which we have visited and stayed in which does not show Sky Sports or BT Sport. Most hotels wouldn't show these channels in their respective rooms however they do show these in the bar area. We were amazed to find that they didn't show these and we were told to watch these at the roof top pub which is 5 minutes walk away. Surely, the hotel is missing out on revenue as individuals like us would drink in the bar, possibly order food as well whilst watching the match during the festive period.

We wouldn't ever stay in this hotel as it didn't meet our expectations however be careful before booking this hotel as this is no where near the Airport!

This hotel provides reasonable value at about £50 per room per night but fittings are starting to show their age and the whole hotel could really do with a bit of TLC. Staff were excellent as they always are
