“Millenium Bridge Premier Inn”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Lovely staff - a nice young man fetched us Earl Grey tea, and drew us a map of how to get where we wanted to go. the morning ladies helped us with our plans and looked things up online. More like a 5 star staff. The rooms are fine and clean with a decent sized bed. We had a view of the river across the car park, but you can't have everything! Usual mass produced breakfast, precooked eggs and thermos coffee (there's a special hell for the man who invented that), but not bad though £8+ is expensive.

Well that was my first question anyway as when I was approaching the hotel there wasn't much in the way of signage to tell you it was the right one, especially as there is another Premier Inn just down the road.
Te hotel its self was clean and pleasant, the reception staff on arrival were very helpful and cheerful when explaining the hotel.
The rooms were nice and clean, simple but fine for what I needed on a business trip. The bed was very very comfortable and the fact that you have a choice of 2 different types of pillow in the room was a very good touch (I actually used both of them lol). There is a Customer Service cupboard on the first floor which you can access with your key card and in there you have irons and ironing boards along with fans which were very welcome with the heat we had at the time. Unfortunately the air con doesn't actually cool the room as its actually heating control.
I opted for the dinner and breakfast option and i was very impressed. The dinner comes with 3 courses and a drink, there is lots to choose from and they are good portion sizes, you can even have a steak! The service in the restaurant was very good an very quick, the staff gain were very friendly and very nice. The breakfast was your typical all you can eat hotel breakfast but the sausages were very good.
All in a it was a good stay and I would recommend it to anyone going to the Newcastle area.

We stayed for two nights in May. Rooms typical Premier Inn rooms; basic clean and comfy. Walking distance to the centre of Newcastle (maybe 15 minutes) and 5 minutes to the waterside area with restaurants etc by the Mllennium Bridge. Breakfast always good at a Premier Inn! We also ate in the restaurant both evenings and the meal deal makes it pretty good value. The food was good - hence our return the second night! All the staff we met were exceptionally friendly and helpful. No noise problems at all during our midweek stay.

Stayed here for one night in June. We were going to see a show at the arena and needed to be nearby. This was our first visit to Newcastle and to a premier inn. The room was clean, bed was very comfy. Tea & coffee facilities in the room hair dryer, flat screen tv. Some toiletries provided but we took our own.
The staff were welcoming on arrival and happy to help with any queries. We arrived a couple of hours earlier than check in time (2pm) but we were given our room as it was ready.
We had a few drinks in the bar area in the evening. We didn't eat our evening meal there as we wanted to explore Newcastle and eat in the city. We found a lovely Italian on grey street.
The breakfast was excellent. A great deal of choice. Full English, fresh fruit, yogurt, choice of eggs (omelette, fried, boiled, poached) crumpets, toast, croissants. Very good selection of cereals. Tea and coffee. Also you can help yourself to as much or as little as you wish. Fresh juices too.

Only compliant I have is the people staying on the floor above us sounded like a heard of elephants! They stomped around as if they were the only people in the hotel. No respect for guest below them. This was not a fault of the hotel. Also the entrance from the lower car park is quite scruffy and off putting. Once you reach reception it s more welcoming.

Stayed at this premier inn before and can not fault it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms large and very clean. The hotel is very well situated and is surprisingly quiet. Bar area cosy and friendly. Certainly would recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms all seem to be of same good standard although rooms on front overlook the river.

We booked this hotel to stay in after the Bon Jovi concert in Sunderland. As with all of the premier inn chain, the hotel has all of the basics you need, and its very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean. One of the members of staff on reception was incredibly friendly, she took time to have a conversation with us and asked about our evening plans. As we left the hotel for the concert she wished us a good evening at the show.
A very nice premier inn!

Typical Premiere Inn standard. There was plenty of car parking; receptionist was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy. It is very well placed for the city (lovely walk along river front or short bus ride). Close to millennium bridge and Sage Centre. Despite being so well placed it was quiet. The breakfast was self service and of good quality. All staff were friendly. What more could you ask for?

Room Tip: The rooms are very similar. If you didn't want to eat in for dinner, the receptionist had plenty...
