Premier Inn Newcastle City Centre (Millennium Bridge) Hotel
Reviewed January 6, 2013

I stayed here for four nights in-between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There is also a free car park which was ideal to just leave the car and hop on the bus straight into town centre bus station. The hotel is also handy for the quayside restaurants if you don’t want to go into town.

We did have a couple of issues during our stay which the staff we spoke to about did apologise for. On one of the days our room wasn't serviced so a member of the reception staff brought clean towels, tea/coffee etc to our room. Secondly, on our last night we were wakened from 3am onwards due to a large group of drunken females’ shouting/singing/slamming doors etc. This continued on for some time and kept us awake. In the morning I spoke to the reception staff who did say they had a issue with a group on a Hen Party and that it was covered under the good night guarantee. We got our money back for that night. I know the staff can't know about this type of behaviour in advance and again the staff apologised too.

I would stay here again as the location, hotel cleanliness and attitude of the staff made for a lovely mini break.

I stayed here for one night. Check in was no problem and we were in our room with no fuss. The standard of the room was excellent - clean and tidy. The bed was also really comfortable and so I had a great nights sleep. Staff at the hotel were really friendly, especially at breakfast where there was plenty of choice. This Premier Inn had a free car park, so that was excellent too! The city centre was approximately a leisurely 20 minute walk away whilst the quayside bars and restaurants were only 10 minutes away. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Premier Inn at a great price and would definitly stay here again.

Stayed here in January 2013 for one night. The initial trek to reception was an inconvenience - glad we'd left luggage in the car. Once at reception we were greeted by an extremely friendly lady who did the usual Premier Inn de-brief. Hotel itself is dated, but extremely clean - handy undercover car park with access directly from hotel, rooms to usual Premier Inn standard, spotless and comfortable. Housekeeping staff were very friendly - they spoke to you like they'd known you a lifetime - although I struggled to understand them being from Leicester!! Restaurant was a bit pricey for us - we went to KFC and got a pizza from a local takeaway instead. Nice stroll down to the Millennium Bridge and Quayside - didn't walk into city centre - it was January 1st - we were still shattered from New Years Eve!!

Stayed here one night. Staff were great and really helpful. Only downside was i had a group of young women staying in room next to me they came back at 3.30am one of them was crying. Then at 6am a man knocked on my door looking for the room where the woman were staying. I didnt answer door and he eventually gave in after 10mins of knocking.
Staff were very apologetic and told me about the good night guarantee however they cant help it if people cant handle there drink.
Did actually get an ok sleep despite the 2 bouts of noise and managed to sleep in til 11am.

Ill keep it short... Hotel was great, yatta yatta,.. But because there's MINIMAL night staff on and if a problem arises..and needs sorting- its like trying to find water in the dessert. Some guests (lads in their teens and twenties) had trashed their room..been running around the corridors all night and SCREAMING and shouting at the top of their lungs for, wait!.....2 DAYS before they were even asked to leave. Let alone calm the fudge down. The hotel staff couldn't throw them out because the duty manager had to be present (which he wasn't until the next DAY) and the police had REFUSED to attend. As the "don't do evictions" HA! The staff actually said that to me. The second night of hellish noise wasn't resolved until around 10-11am THE NEXT DAY. They'd been causing noise since flipping 2am!!!!!

Their complete lack of "back bone" to stand up to these thugs presented itself in about 35 guests asking for a refund. THAT BAD. Did i also mention they were in the corridors NAKED and smoking drugs? No? Oh well..they were. I'm amazed they wern't asked to leave sooner because the staff were perhaps scared or too lazy to actually take action. To top it off...my other half is a policeman but couldn't do a thing about it as he was off duty and out of his jurisdiction. We had power and were unable to use it = (

WILL I STAY AT ANOTHER PREMIER INN??? Yes.......But will i stay at the Millennium Bridge hotel again? NO. Their staff have show that in times of actual NEED they just don't cut the mustard. Sorry.

Room Tip: DEFINITELY ask for a room on the back of the hotel an at least either on the middle floor or top flo...

Stayed here 3 nights while visiting family over Christmas. Excellent service, comfort, convenience and value for money. Could not fault anything. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Newcastle. Very convenient for the Quayside and free, plentiful parking a bonus. There were four of us in one room (2 adults and 2 pre-/ teenagers), we had enough space and the beds were very comfortable.

Room Tip: The location was very quiet. We were in a room at the back facing away from the river.
