We went to The Cave (Krakow) on Saturday 10 August for Lunch, we rang at 12 noon saying we had a Groupon Voucher and booked in for 1pm. We arrived and were greeted with a smile (even though we had a voucher!) We had Avocado and Tomato Crostini and Potoato Cakes for starter - both tasty. We had Chicken Snitzel with pickled cucumber and the meat Polish Dumplings. Chicken was very nice, well cooked and tasty but we both loved the Polish Dumplings - lovely dumpling pastry stuffed with minced meat and sauerkraut. Food and service was very good.

Went with a groupon voucher. The atmosphere wasn't terribly lively, but the food was pretty authentic Polish fare, with a decent range of drinks. Worth a try if you've not had Polish food before, or fancy a bit of nostalgia. Went in May 2013.

We arrived at the same time as one couple and another couple arrived after us. Both had their starters and received their main course before we had even got our starter. We only ordering one bowl of borscht, it took them about 45 min (to warm up some soup???) There was no apologies or offer of discount. The borscht was weird as well, seemed like it was out of a can. Probably the worst we've ever tasted, and we eaten it all over Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Because the soup took so long, the waitress even offered to bring it with the main meals! Unbelievable. Ordered Polish dumplings which were nice but there was no side dish or anything, £10 for 4 dumplings by themselves? Left very disappointed and still hungry.

We went to The Cave(formerly known Kraków) on 3 Aug 2013 after a friend gave us a Groupon coupon for two, we are both Polish and have read the favourable reviews so we were actually looking forward to try the food, we attempted to book in advance but they don't seem to answer the phone, on arrival we were not allowed in as soon as the waitress realised that we had coupons despite the place being completely empty! reason? Coupon customers must book a day in advance, apparently they were expecting a group to arrive later that day! and she even had the cheek to say to us that their aim is not to fill the place with coupon customers! !!!!

I just can't understand the good reviews on here! Maybe it went downhill since changing to the Cave, rather than Krakow. I am only leaving one star as I can't leave no stars! We went on a Groupon voucher. When we arrived the place was empty. We stood near reception for a few mins before wandering around to find someone to seat us. The menu looked nice. We decided on a starter and a pizza each, only to be told we couldn't have pizza with the voucher (this wasn't stated on the voucher). My friend chose stroganoff, which they told us was not available. The starters took ages to come, when they arrived they were average. The mains took another eternity to arrive, they were just awful! I can't get across how bad they were. We left them completely and they didn't even ask why we had left them!!! Not once were we asked if everything was OK. Then the bill arrives - they'd been serving my friends doubles instead of singles. Bill was extortionate. Just a complete rip off. I never write reviews but I felt I had to for this place. Don't go! You've been warned!
