This place is tucked away in a residential area. The menu is not extensive, and you need to byo wine, BUT the food is second to none. Excellent value, friendly staff. Great midweek eatery, and you can do takeaway too! Love it.

Beautiful rustic Italian food at amazing prices! The specials are always a delight- my fav being gnocci with spinach and dolcelate cheese! The calzone is also a massive hit :)
We visit as often as we can!

The food here is fantastic, make no qualms about it. If you're looking to be critical about perfect 'Italian cooking' and want a fine dining experience, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a place to wind down, have a coffee (or a BYO bottle of wine) and enjoy some home-cooked, rustic, fantastically flavoursome Italian food in a warm cosy atmosphere, and at a criminally low price, then you won't find anywhere better in Newcastle. Nothing is too much trouble for the Italian owner, Lorenzo, and you genuinely do leave the place with a warm satisfied felling that makes you want to come back and visit again.

My housemates and I have been eating here for 5 years whilst at University, and we will continue to return for a long time after I'm sure.
