Arrived just in time for the early bird, restaurant was pleasantly busy for mid week evening. Starters of fish cakes and corned beef hash were both very tasty and well presented. Main course for me was the tastiest pork ever eaten, was concerned it may have been fatty as it was belly pork but it was not at all, just really flavoursome. Husband ate minute steak which was perfectly cooked with fat chips. Shouldn't really have gone for dessert as the portions were large and I was quite stuffed, but I couldn't resist and went for the apple, pear and berry crumble. This was gorgeous but had to reluctantly leave some to save having to be rolled out of the place. Husband went for cheesecake, which was tasty but again had to be left due to fullness of tummy!
This restaurant has excellent food and atmosphere, tables are not all squashed together but are still roomy. It is very refreshing to be served lovely food and decent portions in a city centre place, all for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend and will be back soon. For diners with high standards, this is not said lightly.
