Excellent service and food, great location. This is ideally placed for pre-show meals when visiting the Sage.

Second time of trying, and this place still doesn't excite.
Limited choice on the specials menu, and otherwise overpriced.
Portion sizes were a bit small.
Looks good from the street, but venue is cramped once you get seated.

Other reviews seem to be complaining about the portion size - they obviously didn't try the antipasti misto - the portion for 2 could have served 4 for a starter or 2 for a main. Fantastic choice of goodies and well worth the money. Rest of dinner was very good - mainly ate off the specials and everyone was happy with their food.
Was happy to see they serve Dolcetti - a mini dessert and coffee, however after ploughing through the antipasti, I couldnt even manage that.
Service friendly and reasonably attentive. Busy and a little noisy but a generally really enjoyable meal.

We visited Caffe Vivo last night, the menu was fairly basic and very little choice. The staff were friendly and we were left to chat freely after our meals. Sadly the food was not something to write home about. I ordered from the special menu, my cucumber salad starter was nice but small I was disapointed with my pasta, there was only three olives in it and the rest was tomato sauce...Couldn't quite believe the wine was £6.50 a glass. My friend was also disapointed with her seabass, it was full of bones her starter was basic, mozzorella & tomato (£7.50) so all in all for £60 - as they add 10% service charge. I though it was terrible and would not return.

Have been meaning to try Caffe Vivo for a while. Sorry to say that it was a big disappointment. We were waived towards our table and the service was unenthusiastic. The food was OK but not up to the standard you would expect from the Cafe 21 chain of restaurants. All in all an underwhelming experience and not one we shall be repeating.
