Very nice museum specially for children.

First Class museum. Loved the Planetarium. The kept loads of exhibits from the old museums including the Egyptian mummies. Our grandchildren loved the museum.

“Quick tour around the Hancock”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

A beautiful location and building. My son and I enjoyed walking around this museum, but allow no more than 1.5 hours as there is only 2 floors. Lots of resources and items to view. Well worth a look. ;-)

“Interesting museum”

I like the museum but since it was remodelled it seems geared towards children , which is great if you are taking children. It's airy and spacious.

I visited this museum during my stay in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Nice artefacts of this part of England, expecialy for the romans part where you can see a recreation of the Adrian Wall from Carlisle to Wallsend (a part of the city of Newcastle, where the wall ended).
Good explanations above all in the roman part where you can examine, thank also with the roman wall's recreation, every single (roman) mile.
It's free of charge, if you want you can give them a free donation.
Polite personnen at the reception.
Very nice museum.
