well I have to say this is one of the little gem places that you just die for, we have never been before , so we came across a discount voucher on a web site , we phoned up a month in advance and by the sounds of it just as well it's popular .
We got there 15 min early due to very little traffic and a fast taxi , no problem we were catered for straight away ,drinks within a few mins , orders taken by a very nice young lad whom catered for every need as more drinks and wine were ordered. The starters were superb 4 clean plates and if there was any bread I'm sure the sauces would has disappeared too.
To the mains which varied to seabass with king prawns and a mix of seafood , now my friend likes his seabass , his comment's was that's the best he has ever had, I had the king prawns with a bed of rice my partner had lamb and his partner pork with seasonal veg.
Now I would like to thank the management there as we did have a voucher and some establishments restrict you to what is only on this but this time they said it was open if any was over the marked on the codes you can pay the difference , that made a total pleasure to the evening as they have a board with other dishes on there that are even better than on the menu that's advertise on there web site.
ty for making my 23rd anniversary special

Most impressed with this little bistro. Portion sizes were good, food delicious (we had steak) and the service was excellent - friendly and efficient. In addition the prices for the drinks were not over the top. I will certainly recommend and will go back.

Lovely cosy bistro... The place has a lovely atmosphere to it. My boyfriend and I went mid week. Taste cards holders can take advantage of the 50% the al a carte! Alternatively you can get two courses for about £12 from the set menu... Belly pork to start and sea bass for the main and they were faultless will defiantly recommend and come again! Bostro

While on a Hen Weekend from Edinburgh, eight of us visited this great little bistro in Jesmond on a Friday afternoon for lunch and a Sunday lunchtime before our train journey home.

Service very friendly and efficient. Mikey, the charming young maître'd made us feel very welcome. All of us enjoyed our food. It is extremely good value for money and portions are excellent, you leave feeling full. He even gave the Bride to Be a dessert on the house! A lovely gesture.

Would recommend and would definitely return to this little gem if in Jesmond again.
