Recently went for a meal here & from the outside, the restaurant looks very basic. It is surrounded by bigger, more flamboyant places but don't let that side track you.
We were greeted at the door, our coats were taken & we were shown to our table, we felt very welcome but not in an overbearing way.
Drinks orders were taken quickly, which is always a positive thing & our food order was taken when we were ready (you get the feeling that you can take as long as you need, there is no pressure)
Our starters arrived & were delicious, Pate & Soup.
After a gap of no more than 10 minutes, our main courses arrived & they were of an equally high standard, Steak Frites & Chicken.
One of the highlights for me was the fact that we arrived in Happy Hour 6.45 but there was absolutely no pressure to finish & leave (it was 7.50 when we did leave). Too often, places want you in & out on some sort of conveyor belt, not here.
The bill including drinks came to less than £30 which is outstanding. We will be back.
