“It's ok”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

relaxed places with nice décor. clean toilets.
Keow Tiev Nam Pad was very nice, as well as the seafood salad, both with very good prawns. the Pad Thai noodles were far too sweet. The asparagus & mushroom were well cooked and the ginger rice very nice.
The tea wasn't amazing. Service was OK.
not the best Thai lunch I've ever had, but quite pleasant. all the above was 45£ (we were 2).
Not bad.

“A very relaxing meal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

I Dinned at Rumwong with the wife on Friday 2nd February, I booked the “Khan Tok” room, this is very unusual in The UK “Northern Thai style dining", you basically sit on the floor with cushions & a low table etc., you’re also asked to remove your shoes, this is a novelty! (They put them safely in a storage cupboard)

The food was very good, similar to The Thai Terrace in town but not as rushed, however I found the service to be a little unfriendly not once did I get a smile, how is your food etc. However the service was prompt, definitely worth trying the “Khan Tok “ room highly recommended.

TIP: Don't wear lace ups or you'll be taking them on/off every gents/ladies trip!

“Great food, consistently excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

We go here quite often as the food is always nice for a treat and the service is consistently excellent as you'd expect from Thai staff.

It's a smart restaurant so the atmosphere is generally quiet so more suited for a nice night out rather than casual dining. I'm sure they'd welcome children but I'm always pleased that young children/babies don't go as it means there's no risk of screaming!

They also do great pudding which is unusual for far-eastern restaurants.

“Great food and service, but...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

We were in the Khan Tok room which meant we were sitting on cushions, very confortable cushions but a few people struggled to get comfortable which really did impact on their enjoyment of the meal. I thoroughly recommend the food it was delicous and the waiting staff were very attentive and courteous. But consider if you will be comfortable sitting on the floor eating from a low level table before you book the Khan tok room as there is always the restaurant with chairs!

“Lovely food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

I have been here quite a few times and have to say that the food is really lovely. Staff are lovely too :-). Expect to pay around 25 pounds a head without drinks which covers a nice starters and couple of dishes and rice/noodles etc. Book early because it fills up quickly. Better to take small children to the earlier sitting of 6.30 I think.
