Really unspoilt countryside, lots of walks, can get lost! At the top there is a tower you can climb and a hatch that serves tea, coffee and cake. Nowhere sheltered to sit so do wrap up well.

Great walk great views. Only downside no toilet as they do not have running water so go before you arrive!

up through the woods from Abinger Common, breaking out onto an escarpment with fab views to the south downs. Lovely folly at Leith Hill

Extensive choice of attractive woodland walks rewarded by superb views from Leith Hill Tower - the highest point in southern England.

This is an amazing National Trust site! It costs 1.30 to climb the tower and it is certainly worth it (free for National Trust members). The views from the top of the tower are simply amazing and there are signs on each wall listing the names and distances of certain landmarks (e.g. the North Pole, Gatwick airport, etc.). This is the tallest area for hundreds of miles and it is simply spectacular!

Be prepared for a bit of a walk to get to the tower (if you take the route we did!) and that admittance to the tower closes 30 minutes prior to the closure of the tower for the day.
