“GOOD REFUGE FROM THE LYCRA BRIGADE”

A good stop for a coffee and light refreshments in the converted shop. Friendly service in this snug venue which gets you away from the lurid lycra clad cyclists queuing at the nearby servery. Beware of high kiddie content at weekends.

Box Hill for us has great walks for us and the dog and is also located with in easy reach of several friends. Very clean with well laid trails and close to the National trust carpark and Smith & Western for a bite to eat after.

lovely views, super walks and great date slices in the NT tea kiosk. can get a bit busy at the viewpoint in peak times and good weather but worth a day out.

While this may not be as high or as stunning as much of what I am used to in Northern Ireland, it is extremely attractive. Nice winding drive to the top and good viewpoint at the top. Also snack bar servery and a few tables outside. Choice of an easy short ramble at the top or a couple of longer walks. There is a well manicured or maintained feel to the surrounding countryside.
