Description: Imagine a chocolate box style village pub, beaming with pinkness with a rainbow of flowers around the door. You have just painted an image of the Fox at Newbourne. The pub is a wonderful 16th century building set in pretty grounds.

Went with my parents for the second time this month to celebrate mothers day. Parents had a meal from the £10 for 2 courses menu and i had a meal off the man menu.Parents meal of lasagna was apparently extremely good and despite the price the portions were very good. i had the chicken and ham pie which was gorgeous. Service as always was excellent and staff were very efficient and polite, I would definitely recommend. Also has a lovely garden when it's warm and some nice walks nearby.

Those hanging baskets really did look like the picture and it was a cold March - how do they do that?
We were looking for a halfway house for lunch with a friend and this came up. Although it was a Tuesday, we booked - good plan, both the restaurant and the bar were heaving with lunchers by the time we left. They run a lunch at a modest price that I suspect brought in a lot of the punters. We ate from the menu and it was good food at reasonable prices, also real ale always a plus in my book. Service was quite slow, not surprising given how busy it was and that food tasted as if it had been properly cooked.

Nice village pub with a cosy atmosphere, and a very varied, typical pub fare menu.
Well cooked, and served in a quick time. Wine very well priced. But if you are hungry, try elsewhere. The portions are not large, and I think that vegetables in the area are still on rationing!
We ordered two coffees, a black and a capuccino, which appeared in about 90 seconds. Not very good and obviously from a machine. If I am eating out, I want to be served freshly made proper coffee.
An OK experience.

This was a very late booking on a very wet and windy night and it was excellent food, very good service and we did not feel we were rushed to order the next course. So we had plenty of time to chat. Have been here several times and the food is always well cooked especially the lamb chops. There is plenty to select from and they were very good about letting us change the vegetable options. Good choice of starters and because you are not rushed you can manage a dessert as well.
