As a child I visited every Saturday after swimming but hadn't been for years until last week. What a pleasure!
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with cosy diner-style seating indoors and benches outside by the water (for when the weather permits). The staff are friendly and more than happy to swap and change options on the menu if you want.
Most of us went for the small meat breakfast, with a range of changes and additions (black pudding, extra toast etc.), plus a veggie sausage sandwich (not on the menu but very willingly made). Everything was cooked very well, and the quality is excellent - most of the menu is freshly home made, and the meat is local. But despite that, the prices are very reasonable.
We'd highly recommend the caravan, but be warned - the limited space and high may mean you have a wait.
