A proper old pub, lovely environment and being dog friendly adds to the authenticity.

Food was delicious and portion size was generous.

Friendly staff finished it off. Would definitely visit again.

Really pleased to have found this pub. Really friendly and accommodating. Had an excellent meal for 5 hungry people who wanted a pre-theatre supper. Lovely fresh food. We will return!

Had the homemade pies and they were lovely. Welcomed our puppy, who thankfully behaved beautifully. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

We arrive in Woodbridge en route to Shingle Street too late for our normal lunch stop. Happily we found the King's Head! Dogs welcome - a bowl of water turned up before we had taken our coats off! There is even a Mutts Menu... well done.

Good range of pub food on the menu, cod and chips and two scampi were well cooked and presented. Chips with one of the scampi and extra salad with the other. The staff were willing to please. We asked for tartar sauce it came freshly prepared from the kitchen with the minimum of fuss.

The beer and ciders we sampled were all well kept and reasonably priced.

Two of our party had lunch and a drink here midweek too and enjoyed another good lunch.

Would definitely recommend this place.

My son had just moved to Woodbridge and remembering a favourable meal from The Kings Head on a previous visit we opted to take Sunday lunch there. It's a lovely building with a welcoming wood fire and the young staff were attentive and helpful but the food, a roast, disappointed as it was served on cold plates and retained only a vestige of warmth. My wife and son both returned theirs for reheating in a microwave which although raising the temperature did nothing for the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. In fairness to the establishment we were offered an apology and complimentary drinks but this did rather spoil the occasion and we will probably try elsewhere on our next visit to the town.
