“Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We visited Woodbridge and wanted to stop for a roast meal on a Sunday and asked a local for a recommendation. We are glad we did because this Pub was excellent. Old, with beams and loads of atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the chef made a point of coming across and asking us if everything was alright. All home cooked with 4 different veg and yorkshire pudding with the Beef and the Lamb we were not disappointed. The menu was extensive and there is a restaurant at the back.

Me and my wife met up with friends the night before a wedding ,the pub was very nice inside friendly landlord and barstaff ,however i am not used to paying £4.30 for a pint of locally produced ale , fish and chips was very nice but again expensive

Have been here several times for lunch. Food is always good with efficient service. Log fire in middle of pub nice & welcoming . There's also a separate menu for dogs! Perfect place on a cold day.

“Sausages and a fire”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

I went to the King’s Head because the hotel said it was the only place where I could get supper on a Sunday evening, and I liked it. Good beer (Adnam’s, I seem to remember), decent food (I had sausages and mash - the sausages were local), and a smiling young waitress. The wood fire was very welcome on a cold, wet December night, too.

The pub’s in the top corner of the square near the entrance to St Mary’s - of the loveliest churches in East Anglia - which makes it a convenient place to hang about for a few minutes before you go to a carol service, say, or to have a drink in afterwards.

“What`s gone wrong”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Have been using the kings head for many years several times a year, today Sat. 23 Feb 13 I would not give any points in the review, it was a grand pub now a place that is cold, expensive, poor service and no friendly staff. With the Angel now turning it around nearby the king head want to buck it`s shocking inept method of running a pub.
Ideas put more logs on the fire and turn the dam heating up, £11 plus for fish & chips is way over the top drop the dam price, get people employed that look as if they want to be there not the half wits you have today, last of all get a Manager involved who knows what is what and on duty in the busy hours like a saturday.
