Have eaten here several times now with friends, never fails to disappoint, good varied menu on blackboard, so very informal, friendly service, order at bar, nothing pretentious, just honest, fresh food, well cooked and served competently. Realistic prices mean you visit more often. I had lemon sole and it was the freshest fish I have had for ages in a restaurant, really good portion size for the men, but if you can manage a dessert try the sticky toffe pudding - wicked. or just share, as we did, no probelm for the staff, happy to give us 4 spoons ! Would recommend, just wished I lived in Woodbridge.

Visited many times. Atmosphere of authentic pub. Friendly staff, good service. Food normally very good (although a little pricey). This time though the excellent pea and ham soup let down by a few bland pieces of white bread as an accompaniment. Friend said his sausage in the sausage and mash was pretty ordinary.
Would certainly visit again but a few improvements the food would be excellent again

I had the Lamb Stew with Mint Dumplings. Who says the british only have bad food? It was very good. They took good care of me even though the pub was about to close. Wonderful service.

Went for lunch today, good atmosphere & ding good trade.
Ordered Beef Suet Pudding & the wife had a Beef Sandwich.
Told we would have to wait a few minutes as the food was all freshly cooked.
Wait was not too long & along came two piping hot dishes.
The Beef pudding was excellent & the wife said the same about the large Beef sandwich.
All the staff were very pleasant, pricing was very Competitive, we will return.
