“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

Went for lunch today, good atmosphere & ding good trade.
Ordered Beef Suet Pudding & the wife had a Beef Sandwich.
Told we would have to wait a few minutes as the food was all freshly cooked.
Wait was not too long & along came two piping hot dishes.
The Beef pudding was excellent & the wife said the same about the large Beef sandwich.
All the staff were very pleasant, pricing was very Competitive, we will return.

“Gorgeous Food & great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

We had yet another great dinner here last week. It's very relaxed but the food is beautifully served, staff are charming and the beers on offer are unbeaten. Perfect for Sunday lunch after a dog walk on the beach which is only a minute away.

“Excellent value, service and quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

Had a few pints in this place but we had our first dining experience this week and each of our party of five was very satisfied. The simple menu on the board left all of us having several potential choices, rather than struggling to find anything suitable. I would not describe it as pub grub, it is far superior in both concept and execution. The surroundings are very pleasant and the service refreshingly unfussy, the waitress will do as much or as little as you request. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

“Always a good meal at this lovely old pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

I have eaten at the Anchor many times, and taken various family and friends there too. We have always been made to feelvery welcome, and the food has always, without exception, been of a very high standard. The ketley steak was the last thing we had, and it was everything we had heard. Keep on doing what you do guys, as it offers us everything we love in pub food and drink.
