Great for the kids.
You'll need the little guide book, but its fab way to bring it all to life as you take a 3ish mile walk around the forrest.

Short visit - and had great fun enjoying the forest and playing on the kids adventure playgrounds (well it was very early and they weren't on the zip wire at that point! sssssh)

I can't comment on the facilities at the Rendlesham Forest centre itself as they are closed outside of the summer season (except the loos-which were fine!) However, due to it being early November and pouring with rain when we went we only saw one other person the whole time we walked around the forest, which was blissful for us as we are not always 'people' people, so to experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful (and notorious) place just for us was a fabulous experience! The 3 mile UFO walk is very interesting (if you know about/care about the history of the occurrences in December 1980) but not suitable for those with mobility issues due to uneven terrain etc (it is a forest after all). Neither of us are terribly fit however but we still managed it, just wear good sturdy footwear and take your time and you'll really enjoy yourselves. There are maps and leaflets at the entrance too so you can synchronise what you're seeing at certain significant numbered points along the walk. There are also three other colour-coded walks of varying lengths for anyone who just wants a nice walk in a beautiful forest!

Being stuck for something to do a few weeks ago on a blustery afternoon; my partner and I took the UFO trail, at less than 3 pounds to park, it was a very cheap, and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out, the walk doesn't take that long, but there is plenty to see along the way!
Look forward to retuning and trying one of the longer routes!

The forest and trails are fantastic and anyone can go on them, wheel chairs with small wheels will struggle though.
Some of the trails are quite long but there is plenty for the kids to do, you can have a picnic go on the adventure playground or just follow the trails.
