We recently stayed here for just one night !after visiting Leiston during the day , which was a great shame as this is such a beautiful place to stay. The setting adjacent to Leah and Julian's home is lovely to look at and very peaceful - it feels as though you have the place to yourself. With a large floor to ceiling glass door along one wall you feel as though the room and the garden are one but there are wonderfully heavy drapes to keep out the light in the morning.....if that is what you like. Another small window on the other side looks over towards their house. The bedroom is very comfortable with some beatiful fabrics and furnishings and a very large bed. The ceiling beams add to the ambience. Though a door is a large wardrobe and then the shower room - also spacious and well appointed. It all feels very self contained and has a wonderfully restful atmosphere. The decor is very tasteful and has some lovely artwork.
There are plenty of places to eat within an easy drive including Woodbridge itself although we ate at a local pub about 5 mins away - very convenient.
We felt very spoilt indeed being served breakfast in our room by both Leah and Julian the next morning especially with eggs laid just that morning by their hens. Sumptuous breakfast on beautiful linen and lovely ceramics. We also felt a bit guilty that we just couldn't eat everything they provided........just too much for us.
As everyone else has said Leah and Julian were so friendly towards us even though we were only there for one night. It was so nice to meet them and share a part of their property. They are a really charming couple.
I do hope that we will have the opportunity to visit again and have no hestitation in recommending anyone else to stay there.

From the moment we were warmly welcomed, until we said our goodbyes, Leah and Julian looked after us wonderfully. They were genuinely concerned that we should have a good time, and they personally could not have done more to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The Granary is a peaceful, pretty and comfortable place to stay - and the breakfast is delicious.

The Granary, owned by the very hospitable Julian and Leah is amazing. The room is beautiful and has incredible details that only a person with an artist's eye could achieve. We awoke each morning to a concert of bird songs. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast is the best we have ever had in England! They bring gorgeously arranged bountiful trays of deliciousness to your room each morning including freshly laid eggs from their hens. Refreshingly, it is not your typical cooked English breakfast. We had planned on staying only one night and ended up staying three nights. There are lots of interesting things to see and do in East Anglia that are not too far from The Granary.

We had to find an overnight stop for a funeral in Ipswich, and this place really lifted our spirits. We had a lovely warm welcome with home made carrot cake and tea. There is only one room, a converted small barn, (the piggery we believe!) in the lovely grounds of the owners property. Decorated like something out of Homes and Gardens, with modern ensuite shower room, a really comfortable stay. It was lovely and warm, there were huge fluffy towels on the bed, magazines on the shelf, chocolates and fresh flowers on the tables. There was even a mini-fridge in the wardrobe to keep fresh milk for your morning tea.

Breakfast arrives at the time of your choosing, carried across on a tray from the main house, and is set up for you in your room. I defy anyone to eat it all, but there were newly laid boiled eggs (the hens were round the back, but we didn't hear them) home made granola, orange juice, coffee or tea, yoghurt, a large dish of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, eight slices of homemade white and brown bread, and four enormous freshly baked croissants, two chocolate and two plain.

I think this represents excellent value, we would go back like a shot.

Room Tip: There is only one, which makes it very peaceful!

We were looking for a B & B with a difference to celebrate our 45th wedding annisversary in woodbridge, suffolk, and THE GRANARY certainly proved to be just that.
A warm and friendly welcome greeted us, a lovely room en/suite to relax at the end of the day in a lovely rural setting.
Julian & Leah's breakfasts set you up for the day, served in your room, and the fresh fruit greek yogurt and home made granola were scrummy!!.
We would not hesitate to recommend THE GRANARY to our family and friends.

I am still questioning one person who stayed here who provided negative feedback. From a seasoned traveller, and, trust me, I stay in a lot of B&Bs and hotels, I can honestly say that Leah and Julian have a gem of an offering here. From the second I arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Homemade cake, fresh milk, the works. All I can say, is if you pass this lovely B&B up when in Suffolk, you should have your head read! This place is homely, beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean... with big white fluffy towels... I had one of my best night's sleep when away from home here, in the comfiest of beds. The welcome you will receive is second to none, the cleanliness likewise, the breakfast is amazing (who could possibly want a full english when their own recipe granola, fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread, freshly ground coffee, and their own home laid eggs are available!).... Thank you so much Julian and Leah.. I hope that I can always stay here when away on business in Suffolk.

We wondered about the wisdom of a short break during the cold February half term, but we needn;t have worried. On arrival at The Granary we were given a warm welcome by Julian and shown to our warm, cosy, comfortable accommodation in the converted piggery ! The main room is very spacious with a high ceiling, lovely exposed oak beams and king-sized bed. There is a separate lobby with a large wardrobe leading into the luxury en-suite.

The highlight was the delicious breakfast served by Leah at a dining table in our room. We enjoyed the blue boiled eggs from the hens, croissants, grenola, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc etc. A real treat and feast to start the day.

For the daily rate charged The Granary represents the best value for money for the quality of accommodation and hospitality of any B&B that we have experienced. We enjoyed the stay so much we plan to revisit again in the summer to explore the local countryside.

Thank you Julian and Leah for an all-round memorable and top class short break.
