A spacious car park to the rear of the hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. I was allocated a room on the top floor. Very well furnished with lots of space. Large bathroom all very clean. A warm night so had a drink outside in the well-furnished outsde area. No smoking outside area was very welcome. The pub was very nice but the food average. Poorly cooked steak by inexperienced staff. However 20% off food for hotel guests.Next morning the surroundings for breakfast were good with a lovely waitress but again the food was not cooked properly. I will definitely stay again but will eat elsewhere.

I booked 7 rooms at the hotel for a reunion weekend. The hotel served its purpose. Comfy beds and rooms large enough for short stay. I must say staff were excellent and Dylan and his team are a credit to the company. Would definately stay again for get together. Yes pub was lively but didn't bother us in the slightest.

Nice room, number 1, good size room for 1 person but would be tight for 2. Comfy bed, nice furnishings e.t.c, poor shower, very little power and very little hot water.

The big draw back is the noise given off by the floors, not just in the room but in the rooms around and above you and as for the corridor. You will not get to sleep until the last person has walked past your room and gone to bed. No wonder you are supplied with two set of ear plugs next to your bed, honest !

There is also the extractors e.t.c on the flat roof outside the bedroom window [not double glazed] so your a given a steady drone to try and fall asleep to.

The bar and food served is very good along with the breakfast, The staff are very efficient and friendly.

it is a shame about the noise, I will stay in Newmarket again but will try the Premier Inn or the Rutland Arms. But I would visit the WH again to eat.

Graeme

I booked this hotel due to its proximity of my destination. I stayed on a Wednesday night.
They have plenty of free parking behind the hotel accessed by turning off of the main road down the side of the Inn.

They have a reception desk which is accessed through the car park doors but if it is not manned then pop into the bar & someone will come back through.
I was allocated room 11 which was at the very top of the hotel, many corridors & stairs to navigate but it was well signed.
The room had all of the comforts expected; duvet, plenty of pillows, towels (fresh smelling), en suite shower room. The bed was comfy but the shower was temperamental (hot/cold/no power) but I reported this on check out.
Unfortunately someone in the room below me decided to have a party at midnight & the walls are so thin that it sounded as if they were in my room. I called the Duty Manager & they did their best to sort it out. Ear plugs are provided in the room so if it wasn’t the neighbours this would suggest the room could be noisy, however the traffic didn’t disturb me.

I ate dinner in the restaurant which was tasty & service was fast, also got a discount as staying there which was a bonus. For breakfast there were cereals, yoghurts & juices available as well as a full English (which I can comment on as I didn’t have it!)

All in all a nice little hotel just pray that you have considerate neighbours!

We stayed here as a stop off on our way through Newmarket booking quite last minute and it exceeded our expectations.

The staff were all friendly even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The bar was very busy but the room was surprisingly quiet. The room was modern and clean and the bed very comfy.
Breakfast was very good and again the staff in the bar were friendly and helpful.

It was in a great location just a few minutes to the National Stud and the car park was helpful because the high street had limited parking.

I would definately stay here again if I were in Newmarket.

Only stayed for one night but found the staff to be very pleasent and helpfull.
Double room was a little small but very nice with everything we needed.
Even though hotel was on the main road we had no problem with noise and did
not have to use the earplugs that are left in the rooms.
The bar was very pleasent and breakfast also very good.
Will use this hotel next time i visit newmarket.

4 of us dropped in for dinner the night before the races. All staff were very attentive and the service was amazing - sadly you don't get that very often these days. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Glad we weren't staying in the hotel as the band struck up at about 9.45pm and after a long day travelling, we were ready for bed! The band were very loud and we left quickly.
