My wife & I stayed here over Christmas, as Newmarket is my home town and we were visiting family.

This is a lovely new hotel right in the centre of Newmarket. Rooms are really nice and comfortable, the bathroom is also great and the on-site Table Table restaurant is also lovely- we has Christmas Lunch in there along with their excellent value breakfasts.

The only problem is that the location is right in the centre of a gyratory-type road system and is located opposite a large and busy Waitrose store. Not too much of an issue over Christmas when the store was closed, but I wonder what it's like when it's open! In addition, we asked for a quiet room when we booked and were given one at the back- might be a useful tip for others.

There is no parking on site and you need to use the adjacent public car park that has a reputation for joy-riders and vandalism. We parked there with some trepidation, although to be fair we had no problems.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room at the back

Stayed 2 nights over Christmas. We booked 2 rooms and asked for them to be adjacent if possible. We were actually given a connecting pair which I didnt realise Premier did. Both rooms were immaculate and well equipped, room 102 in particular was very spacious. One neat point is the curved shower rail over the bath which prevents the dreaded "curtain cling". Other budget chains please copy.

We had continental breakfast only, quite a good selection. Cooked breakfasts were brought to order and looked excellent.

Staff were extremely helpful, rang us in advance to warn of change to restaurant opening hours. Thanks Rachel & co.

Yes the carpark is a bit of a pain but no charge after 4pm or on Bank Holidays so we paid nothing during our stay.

Room Tip: Recommend room 102, near lift but larger than most

Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast. Parking in multi-storey over the road was a bit of a pain but otherwise a great stay. thanks

Room Tip: Parking is in the public multi-storey over the road. Free after 4.00pm and weekends.

The price for room only is a little on the high side, unless you can find one of the deals, but this Premier Inn was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there is no phone in the room which means a) without a mobile your a bit stuck for friends/family contact b) any problems/questions and you have to go to the reception to get them sorted. I stayed on New Years Eve and point (b) applied when at 0445 some young idiots decided to run up and down the corridor, slam doors and shout and swear. Thankfully I already had a direct number (01638 675083 at the time of review) otherwise it would have been a premium rate number or a trip down to reception. I will say that the night staff were very prompt in dealing with said idiots.

Great value for money, friendly staff, clean, tidy and comfortable. A great central location with a downstairs restaurant & bar. Would suggest you check on parking arrangements prior to your stay, as this is in the multi-storey car park opposite the hotel and a fee applies.

I stayed over Christmas with my husband and two young sons, who were given tubes of sweets to their delight. Also a good security system. Would reccomend this hotel to everybody.

I had meetings near Newmarket and this was the easiest option for the dates I needed. Disappointing to find that the credit card booked on couldn't be used to pay as I didn't have it with me (it was a company card that couldn't leave my offices). Also a pain was the car parking which is in a local car park and starts at 8am in the morning so no lie in if you were thinking of one! My room was quiet until the people above got up at 5am and had a shower and the heating wasn't great either. On the plus side the cheaper breakfast option offered porridge with soya milk something I haven't found in some more upmarket hotels!
