The barn was spotless and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for swimming as we only stayed 2 nights and got the bus both days to Bury St Edmunds for the Christmas Market. Tonya was kind enough to drop us at the bus stop on the Friday morning and we discovered lots of goodies that had been left for us when we checked in later that evening - so thank you very much Tonya!
The bed was huge and comfortable - I would like to say that it had a feather quilt and not one of those horrible unbreathable Micro fibre ones and the shower had excellent power and heat.
The barn is very private, wildlife and tranquility in abundance - there really is nothing not to like - we will be back...
We stayed at the barn twice in the last few weeks while house hunting and can thoroughly recommend it for a luxury, relaxing break. It has panoramic views of open countryside and is only six miles from Bury St Edmunds. Everything is clean and tidy and the super kingsize bed is very comfortable. What made it extra special for us was the heated indoor pool and the lady owner’s warm welcome.
Lovely swimming pool, which my son couldn't get enough of.
About 15 minutes to Bury St Edmunds and 45 minutes to Banham Zoo which as some good activities for the kids.
Really lovely short break.
Accommodation and the location are excellent. The heating swimming pool was a well added bonus after a day of visiting surrounding places of interest.Everything you need in the barn cottage.Would certainly recommend this and would stay again. .
Lovely cottage, lovely location, close to places of interest eg Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. Ideal for a peaceful break. Hosts could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Intend to return when possible.
