Last evenings dining was as good as the previous times we’ve eaten at Restaurant 4.
For Starters I had The Seafood bake of Clams, prawns, and smoked haddock with vegetables in a garlic white wine sauce, topped with cheese. Served with Cuban bread.
The other starter for my daughter was the Moroccan Shakshuka which comprised Poached eggs in a Ras el Hanout spiced tomato sauce with red peppers, fried onions and roasted mushrooms. Served with pita bread. This too she thoroughly enjoyed
Our main Course I chose the Warm Cavolo Nero with toasted almonds, portobello mushrooms, red and spring onion, fried chick peas and a sherry vinaigrette - I also chose the extra topping if garlic prawns. This dish is still a favourite with me.
My daughter chose for her main, Mushroom Chow Mein which comprised bean sprouts, red pepper, carrot, daikon, cabbage, onion and egg noodles with a sweet sherry soy sauce. Again, she rated this highly.
For deserts I had the Ice Cream Cake which was on a thin Oreo biscuit base and the other was a Warm Ginger Sponge - again both enjoyable.
Our Compliments to The Kitchen and Front House Staff for a most enjoyable meal.
