The hotel rooms are a bit small and rather dated. The keys are HUGE. Very cumbersome if going out. The heaters did not work, took 10 minutes for the hot water to kick on, and internet kicked you out every 5 minutes. The internet was extremely offsetting as this was a business trip and was up to 230 in the morning trying to finish working, due to lack of internet this took literally hours more than it should have. The staff was very pleasant and apologetic about the internet issues.

Room Tip: if needing to use the internet go somewhere else.

A pleasant hotel although a little dated. The room was acceptable and clean but tired. Breakfast was reasonable but the mushrooms were tinned which took the edge off the advertised "Suffolk " named breakfast. However the staff were all very friendly and helpful,in fact first class.

We stayed here to attend our sons passing out parade at RAF Honington nearby. We had four rooms for grandparents etc and they were all ground level and arranged around a garden area. There is ample parking and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast was very good, we ate at the hotel one evening which was also good and the other evening went to the Tollgate pub across the road which was also good. Would definitely use this hotel again, nice rooms, good location and friendly staff. Well done.

Room Tip: We had 26 to 29 all fine and overlooking a garden

The Priory is situated on the main road into bury. It is a period hotel with ample parking, the grounds are laid out well with a large garden situated between the main building and the garden rooms and walled. The main hotel is neat and tidy. The garden rooms are easily accessed via the garden paths. The room was functional but dated and the bathroom needed work. The room had no double glazing and the walls quite thin.
The food was very good, flavoursome and presented well. The breakfast was really good and staff very pleasant

Room Tip: maybe try the main hotel rooms

We stayed two nights in the hotel and our overall impression was very good. Bury is an interesting and historic town and the centre is walkable from the hotel -(about 20 minutes). We stayed in one of the garden rooms, adjacent to the main hotel. On the first night there was a wedding party in the main hotel which was quite lively but this did not disturb us. The room was comfortable with a tea and coffee supply but was a bit hot and stuffy. The main hotel has plenty of character and it might be nice to say in that part next time. We did not have breakfast as this seemed expensive but next time we might go for the all in one price. Also we had made other arrangements for eating with friends and so did not use the restaurant for evening meals. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and we would readily stay there again.
