Being a ''member'' is a great deal because you get some çomplementary tickets, reduced rates on others, and priority booking. It's such a friendly and comfortable place, with 2 small cinemas boasting very comfortable seats and mini-sofas. Nice that you can buy a glass of wine at the bar and then sit back and enjoy the show. They've got it right at Abbeygate!

Well what can I say.......the choices you can have with and in your burgers spoils me My favorite is the Pork, but tbh honest they are all lovely. Clean modern and with the twist of having a chic Cinema on the premises is Awesome. Polite and friendly staff all in all very good and i have been many times dining and then onwards to the cinema.

What a great little place! You get to watch films in comfort and you can take a drink in with you - and you get to eat lovely homemade food in the intimate brasserie attached.

Great little cinema in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. It is really like sitting in your front room with a huge screen with really comfortable seats and settees!!! My wife and I went there to see a preview of 'The Quartet' - which I might add is a brilliant film - with a 'live' discussion via satellite with the films director, writer and actors in the film (Tom Courtney, Billy Connely) Although we haven't had a meal there there is a fantastic little restaurant with reasonably priced food, something we will partake in on our next visit. There is also a bar and as far as I am aware you can take your drinks into the cinema but I may be wrong.
A 'must' for film goers who want some intamacy.

The abbeygate picturehouse has recently had a massive refurbishment and this includes the creation of a fantastic restaurant and bar area.
The pick and choose burger menu is a fantastic idea which means that you will be back again to so what other combinations you can make.
The place has a nice atmosphere and the little touches such as numbering the tables after movie titles makes it a pleasure to visit even if you not going to see a film.
