On both occasions we have had a thoroughly relaxing time a the Angel. Food was lovely and the service was very good too. Make sure that you get one of the newly refurbished rooms. We stayed in one of the huge suites which was gorgeous.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade and if you can spare a little extra go for one of the suites overlooking hte square

On arrival a porter comes out to take your car keys as the cars are moved around to different car parks.Service was effecient.
Our room was next to the main door which was noisy and the view out into the courtyard not good.A couple were smoking so we couldn't open the window. The bathroom was nice.
The quality of the matress could be better.
The room was clean and very plain i expected some character.
The evening meal was good, although the bar took over half an hour to get me an irish coffee.Breakfast was excellent and nice to have waitress service.
Overall trying to be hip and happening but not quite achieving it.

Room Tip: Not ground floor, away from entrance

I booked this last minute and online was getting prices of £270 for a suite, I have them a call and we got a room that hasn't been refurbished for £90. Not modern decor but what a view, overlooking the Abbey, couldn't fault it. On arrival they took our car & carried our bags to the room. We had drinks delivered last night to our room which was another smooth transaction & this mornings breakfast was top notch! Checking out was easy & they brought our car to the front & carried our bags out. I can't wait to stay again!

A very nice spot in the centre of Bury, opposite the abbey gardens. The wingspan bar is worth a visit. Breakfast was pleasant sitting in the sun overlooking the busy square. A nice welcome when we arrived. Very comfortable bed. Food was good. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: A bit noisy at the back of the hotel first thing in the morning maybe worth upgrading to the front?

Four of us spent the night at the Angel this weekend. The standard of accommodation was excellent, the food was very good and every member of staff went out of his or her way to make our stay a really good experience. We will certainly return if the opportunity arises.
