This B & B is an absolute delight in an idyllic setting. The welcome is warm, friendly and Ray & Rachel ensure your stay is a memorable one. The accommodation is excellent, spotlessly clean and they provide a super freshly cooked breakfast. The location is ideal for exploring the many attractions in Suffolk.

This is without doubt the best B&B we have stayed in. Run by the most delightful couple, the barn is full of charm and character and is spotlessly clean. Sited down a country lane one is guaranteed peace and tranquility.
We were warmly welcomed by Ray and Rachel with tea and home made cakes in the garden. Delicious breakfasts were served in a charming upper room: particularly memorable were the fluffiest tasty scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and of course the mouthwatering large plates of the great English breakfast. The room was full of helpful literature to inform the visitor and we enjoyed the company of the other guests occupying the remaining 2 bedrooms.
The bedrooms complemented the rustic ambience and as a wheelchair user I was particularly impressed with the excellent wet room bathroom facilities with appropriate grab rails.
Despite its rural setting, the coast was within easy reach as were the lovely villages and Bury St Edmunds. I would recommend the Ravenwood Hall Hotel, only 2 minutes drive from the barn for that special meal.
This was for us the perfect setting for a memorable holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for Ray and Rachel and they deserve every success with their lovely barn.

We arrived late on a Friday night and the owner was there to greet us and show us to our lovely quaint room with oak beams and oodles of character...plus a flatscreen tv and dvd player to keep things modern aswell.

The dining room / lounge was next door and had use of cd player, jigsaw puzzles, computer with internet, sofas etc plus an 'honesty bar' for alcohol etc which we felt was a lovely touch. Local guides, books, dvd's, wellies for walking, etc etc for all available free of charge and although we kept our brekkie healthy each day due to our current weight watchers routine(!), the poached eggs and toast were lovely!

Location was perfect for local walks and country pubs within a 10 minute drive...plus Bury St Ed only 10 minutes away.

Definately beats a hotel enviroment for the sort of relaxed weekend we were after and we will be back!

Just returned home from a 5 night stay at Oak Farm Barn.Though outside temperatures did not get above freezing, the sun glistening on the snow added to the beauty of the location.
Oak Farm Barn was warm, cosy, clean and homely.
Ray and Rachel are a lovely, genuine couple, whose aim it is to please. They have a wealth of knowledge to share with you regarding places to visit and dine.
The breakfasts are great, just the incentive you need to get you up and out of the super luxurious giant bed.
Would definately recommend Oak Farm Barn to others. Thank you.

Room Tip: Can only comment on the room we had. The ground floor double. Very spacious room.Super comfortable extra large bed. Ensuite with wetroom shower (no bath). Lovely room.

My husband, daughter and I had a 2 night stay at Oak Farm Barn while visiting family in Bury St Edmunds in January. It is a beautiful place set in the countryside a few miles from Bury St Edmunds. Rachel and Ray are lovely hosts. The place is immaculate and very relaxing. There is a great lounge to relax in and the breakfasts were fantastic. We will definitely go back!
