“Old world charm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Visited for Sunday lunch and again thoroughly enjoyed it. Have eaten here several times before and it has always been a pleasurable experience. Good menu choice, standard of food, service and value for money. It is not just the food here, but the atmosphere of the hotel itself and its position on the seafront. Feeling as if you are escaping and going back 40 years but with all the modern standards of service and cuisine, etc is what sets this hotel apart.

We have been using this fabulous hotel restaurant for many years. We re a group of friends who like to celebrate our birthdays in an establishment
that still retains those old values that still makes their guests feel special.
Everything about the Wentworth and the way it is managed keeps us coming back for more.

“Fabulous comfortable lounges with real fires”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

Stopped for afternoon tea and was pleasantly surprised. The lounge was beautiful with comfortable sofas and a blazing cole fire.
Let in theafternoonbutthey were not only happy to serve tea and scones, but service was the best we've had from a hotel.
Scones home make and delicious and lovely clotted cream.
The restaurant was Really good with an excellent menu.
By Aldeburgh standards this I. Very reasonable place to eat.

“Really enjoyable Sunday lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

The 3-course set menu offerred a meal that really was beyond praise - succulent sirloin of beef, pork ribs with cracking crackling, baked fillet of plaice - all properly served and well presented. Good choice of starters including a remarkably good tomato soup, delicious pears stewed in red wine to finish. Proper linen, ample portions, attentive service (but slightly over-pressed on a busy day) - altogether excellent and very good value at £19.50 a head.

“Old fashioned elegance for the modern world!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Stepping through the door you enter an elegance of a bygone era. Beautiful decorated throughout this is one very smart place! My wife is in a wheelchair but as soon as we arrived staff came out and put down ramps and pushed my wife up into the hotel, excellent service.
The restaurant is lovely and the food is excellent and quite reasonably priced. Very nice wine list with a good selection, plus some very good wines by the glass and half bottles! Coffee can be taken in the lounge where there are plenty of nice soft chairs to sink into, and nod off after a very good Sunday lunch :)
The disabled loo is palatial! So nice to have somewhere which is bigger than a broom cupboard.
We have been there for numerous meals including weekday lunches, evening meals and relaxing Sunday lunches.
One of our favourite places long may it continue to thrive.
