Basic room, spacious , warm and clean. The staff are exceptionally friendly. We were able to have breakfast very early on the day of the Gt North Run. We overslept the next morning and thought we had missed breakfast but the staff rallied round to feed us and feed us well. I have never known such customer care. We would definitely use this hotel again

Stayed here for 3 nights attending the Stockton Festival. Located on the Yarm Road. Situated about 30 minutes walk from the Town Centre although there is also a regular bus service that takes you directly to town.
All the rooms have been recently been refurbished. Usual Premier Inn standard - good size and comfortable king sized bed. The adjacent pub which serves breakfast had just been completely refurbished the week before our stay and contrary to earlier reports is now pristine.
The difference here which in our view warranted top marks was the excellent standard of service and friendliness. The breakfast staff in particular went out of their way to ensure you left the breakfast table on a full tank with the offer of a second breakfast being politely declined by ourselves!
Excellent value for money and would definately stay again.

I've been to other Premier Inns; generally they're great. This one isn't. It's a rebranded old travellodge I reckon, that reeked of pre ban cigarette smoke and had grim 1980s decor. Even the staff seemed depressed and dour.
Breakfast is in a Harvester style pub in an adjacent building and that's about as good as the rest of the stay. Incompetent and badly trained staff - plus you have to walk past the smokers to get in there. Oh and you couldn't get breakfast on a sunday til 9am.

On the plus side when I stayed in Premier Inn Bristol Cribbs Causeway my expectations were so low and the hotel and staff so good I nearly passed out with shock - we arrived late and they even offered to make hot chocolate for my children.

This hotel has been refurbished and is in excellent shape. The level of service is what I would normally expect at any 4* or 5* hotel - not one that is classified as a "budget" hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful despite the confusion that I caused!. Rooms were excellent and the bed very comfortable. Will certainly be staying there again.

Reasonable accommodation for the price, typical of Premiere Inns, though the location is a bit barren in comparison with other locations.
Have stayed in better Premiere Inns. Issues - towels small and a bit thin. They neglected to make up our room on the second day - not good. However we had a good nights sleep and the rooms were clean and well kept.

I stayed here for one night in February 2008. This Premier Inn is conveniently located just off the A66 and has a large pub (Preston Hall) next door.
I received a friendly greeting from the reception with a smooth check in. The room was large and spotless with the usual Premier Inn trappings and a large bathroom. The only downside was a pathetic dribble of a shower, most frustrating.
Next door is a large pub serving decent pub grub.

A typical industrial estate hotel, sandwiched between car dealerships with a car park open to the attention of passing vandals. It's cheap but not cheap enough to make up for the deficiencies. Rooms tired, plumbing smelly, it needs a refit.
