We recently stayed at this branch of the Premier Inn as it was close by to a wedding reception. I don't often write reviews for hotels but we were so impressed by our stay that I felt it was important to recognise the high standard of customer service we received. The staff were really warm and welcoming. They were both personable and professional, always friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless. I work in customer service and I was so impressed by at this hotel. I agree with other guest comments that this should be an example for any other Premier Inn branch or any hotel for that matter.

Booked as a last minute trip on the evening of travel. Location was ideal.
The hotel is just off the A19 and is very noisy. Booking was very easy and So was finding the hotel. The pub next door is quite pleasant but I arrived late and did not eat there.

Friendly staff and spotlessly clean couldn't ask for any more, ideal location for what it was needed form highly recommended and would stay again in the blink of an eye, various fast food available within 2 minutes walk (Toby carvery switched which was busy all day which must be a good thing!) Kfc and McDonald's 30 second walk, and fuel station also on site

We have never stayed at a Premier Inn and to be honest, perhaps unfairly we didn’t have very high expectations but we were going to a wedding at Wynyard Hall which was fully booked so as it was close by, we booked the Wolviston Premier Inn – or so I thought. On the day, just about ready to set off from Newcastle, I realised I’d booked the Thornaby Premier Inn in error several months previous, at a very reasonable rate of £55 room only.

I couldn’t get through to Thornaby so rang Wolviston and asked if they could swop the booking as they had vacant rooms. The Manager, Colin, returned my call and confirmed they’d be happy to do so, at the same rate. So already I was impressed.

To arrive and see how lovely and clean the room was, nice bedding, choice of pillows (really), etc - it all made for a great night's sleep.

We decided to go for a cooked breakfast treat and yes it is an ‘all you can eat’ job but seriously, it was freshly cooked and one of the best we’ve experienced. It’s all in the detail; really cold fruit juice jugs, toast bread – only a few slices put out at a time to prevent it from going stale, loads of choice.

Without wanting to sound snobby, we have stayed in a lot of 5* hotels over the years but for service and amazing staff this place cannot be faulted… at all. The best part of it all was the staff – EVERY single person we came across was so pleasant, smiley and helpful, whether the cleaning lady, the breakfast staff and the reception staff (was it Scott?).

I don’t know how other Premier Inns compare but this branch should be the model. Well done to all staff there.

We spend around 12 nights a year at this Premier Inn and have done so for about 4 years when visiting friends and family in the area. The staff are fantastic and always have a chat with the children, the rooms are always immaculately clean and the power showers are a great way to start the day. In all of our stays we only ever had one problem when the extractor fan in the bathroom would not turn off... the night porter tripped out the power to the room to stop the noise and the next day the cost of that nights stay was refunded... no messing around and we did not even have to ask. Breakfast sets you up for the day and although it is all you can eat the food is so good and freshly prepared it is difficult not to look upon it as a personal challenge and over eat. Without doubt this is the best PI that we have stayed in and we would not hesitate in recommending it to any reader of this review.

Room Tip: If you are travelling as a family ask for one of the larger family rooms, this gives a bit more room...

We stayed at the Premier Inn while visiting family. It was an easy decision to stay here as we knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed. Nice room, good breakfast, very friendly staff and a good centralised position for our stay. We did have a couple of minor niggles during our stay but nothing that would put us of staying again. Many thanks to the staff for helping make our stay a happy one.
