Great for a light bite combined with a walk. Good selection of cakes. A "Viewing platform" balcony and an ideal play area.

we visit here on a regular basis . there is ample car parking and lots of open green space to explore.the childrens park is enclosed by railings, and offers a varied selection of play equipment. there is a visitor centre ,refreshments and also toilet facilities

there are a number of different walks around the 2 lakes, these being on the main pathway circling the lake, through the nature reserve area, and alongside the canal path that runs parallel to parts of the lake walk. it can be muddy along some of the nature reserve pathways so do bare this in mind after rainfall!
the main pathways themselves are maintained and there are suitable access points and pathways for wheelchairs.

westport lake does have a very large number of birds throughout all seasons.
a variety of all ages are to be found here, and it is also a popular place to walk dogs here too.
