A lovely place for the family. It is family orientated and they have developed the area well!!!! A nice place for a long walk or just to sit and think.

This place is great with the kids. The weather was brilliant when we went so it was very busy but we sat in the cafe after we had been for a walk and sat on the balcony overlooking the lake BRILL!

A well used lakeside recreation area. Plenty of parking.A mixed habitat 1 mile walk with wildlife trust award winning designed cafe and viewing deck open at 10am....quality snacks....and Staffordshire Oatcakes and cheap. Great for bored , stressed children... feeding wildlife....squirrels, ducks, geese, swans. Excellent model yacht racing and model boats on own pond. Excellent , one of best on northern Trent and Mersey , last 'safe' one in City before Barlaston/ Stone quiet mooring for 12 narrowboats overlooking the lake. Excellent traditional English 'folk music at the Packhorse pub , bridge 126 on Mondays ..recommended for touring floating ale tours with cheap real ale ..500 metres from excellent safe moorings. Access roads to car park locked at desk for quiet nights mooring. Superb sunset views . Access 15 minutes off M6 via A500 turn off at Longport and 3 minutes off A500....near to Middleport Pottery and Steelite Factory Shops for tourist buys of cheap, quality Staffordshire pottery.

Nice to have a coffee after the walk with the children but it was a little dirty, it was the end of the day but looked like I hadn't been cleaned at any time in the day. nice view over the lake.
