Took the kids here to see the Staffordshire Hoard when it was first found. There have a lot of activities going on all the time so check out there website if you are planning on visiting. There are interactive things for the kids to do and it is large enough to spend a few hours walking around and enjoying.

Visiting a museum may not be everyones idea of fun, but this really is well worth a visit if your visiting the area. Lots of wonderful exhibits etc, a great cafe, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff on hand. Highly recommended.

The Potteries Museum is a great place to see the history of the area, with a great deal to interest children in the Natural History section, and a really great exhibition of Saxon Gold until late 2013.

A lovely museum with a variety of works of art, pottery and a Natural History section which offers participation to children. There's a lot to see and do and the exhibits are thoughtfully presented to create maximum interest. The cafe is good and their oatcakes excellent! A must to try if you're from out of town.
