We enjoyed a very nice meal. The food was delicious and although the staff were friendly and attentive, the meal appear to take a long time. This can be a challenge when you have children in your party. Although my wife chose to have soup as a main course, she was charged the full price on the Sunday lunch menu, this made the meal quite pricey.

Went here for a late Sunday lunch. What a lovely surprise. We hadn't booked and they found us a table. The starter of goats cheese, beetroot and quince was truly outstanding. Main of a pie with proper suet crust pastry was scrumptious if slightly salty for me. The root veg were unctuous. My husband had the linguine with smoked duck which he said was really tasty. Enormous portions and amazing value. Highly recommended.

We were not disappointed when we treated ourselves to sunday lunch here recently. It is a warm, friendly pub with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, good service and good food. I visited the pub many years ago and knew that the management had changed some time ago, but I'm glad to say that the change has improved the place without taking away the charm and atmosphere that I remember.
We will be coming back.

Had a really good meal - once again. Have been several times and have never been let down, whether it was as a large family group or as a couple. Can recommend mushrooms, poached egg on brioche to start with the Woolys pork faagots as a main course.

The new 'Pie and Pint' menu is both excellent food and value for money. The chefs and staff have taken this basic concept to a new level! We had braised beef and onion and fisherman's pie's, both excellent meals. Well worth a visit but you should book or get there early !
