...so on that promise we decided we'd be mad not to try it for lunch today. A very busy - cramped cafe with perhaps a couple of tables too many inside making it a bit difficult to manoeuvre about! Anyway we asked what sort of sandwiches were available today (no list on the menu and you're told to ask). Considering the specials and the other choices available on the menu, I was expecting to be told something a little more exciting than cheese or ham, salad, sausage...was told no pickle...odd! Anyway I had ham and tomato, husband had cheese and tomato, came with a bit of dressed salad and the sandwich was made with hand sliced crusty bread. It was all fresh and nicely presented but nothing fantastic. I had a freshly squeeze mixed fruit juice which was delicious if small and husband a pot of tea. Came to £14 which was expensive for what it was.
Nice interior to the cafe, staff were efficient although not exactly warm and the food was OK.

I came here by accident. I had decided on a Subway Sandwich which turns out had closed. The place was just next door and it looked friendly and we decided on an outside table in the blazing sunshine which we left due to wasp invasion. Inside was cool an we had toasted sandwiches and tea. The service was friendly and our food took a bit of time but came out after about 20 minutes. The food was supplemented by a salad spiced up by reduction of balsamic vinegar dressing. It was very good and the tea was first class although hampered by the hard water of these parts. The restaurant was relatively brisk and seemed to have locals who visit on a daily basis which augers well for the restaurant. To summarise very good but lots of alternatives in the area might have my vote before we come back.

My wife and I often enjoy eating breakfast at Andres Cafe, highly recommended!
The staff are friendly and lovely, and it is a pleasure to eat in such a friendly restaurant.
The breakfast menu wont leave you disappointed, and we will continue to support them as should any one else looking for a lovely meal out.
Thank you Andre & staff for giving Wells such a quaint cafe and excellent food!

After a glowing recommendation for the best breakfast in Wells, we were left disappointed! We ordered eggs Benedict, only to be told that half the components were unavailable. Our drinks order was confused with another tables and we were left feeling underwhelmed by the experience. The cafe is a lovely little spot, but is in serious need of upgrading and a little paint and loving care would go a long way!!

The cooking was great. The waitresses friendly. We wanted to share and they served it in two plates, beautifully. The wi fi was free.
I liked the sign" kiss the cook"...he did deserved a kiss.
