...so on that promise we decided we'd be mad not to try it for lunch today. A very busy - cramped cafe with perhaps a couple of tables too many inside making it a bit difficult to manoeuvre about! Anyway we asked what sort of sandwiches were available today (no list on the menu and you're told to ask). Considering the specials and the other choices available on the menu, I was expecting to be told something a little more exciting than cheese or ham, salad, sausage...was told no pickle...odd! Anyway I had ham and tomato, husband had cheese and tomato, came with a bit of dressed salad and the sandwich was made with hand sliced crusty bread. It was all fresh and nicely presented but nothing fantastic. I had a freshly squeeze mixed fruit juice which was delicious if small and husband a pot of tea. Came to £14 which was expensive for what it was.
Nice interior to the cafe, staff were efficient although not exactly warm and the food was OK.
