Had just visited the Cathedral and Bishops Palace gardens and decided that a cup of tea was required. The cathedral cafe was closed (Sunday) so we had a wander down the road. Fortunately we stumbled across the Crofters. The young man serving us recommended the scones, there was a choice of savoury or sweet, we chose the sweet ones, served with butter and jam and with a lovely pot of tea. Delightful place. Very reviving.
