By walking down this short close of centuries old houses you are transported back in time. It is so beautiful and peaceful as you tread the cobbles walked on by so many feet since the middle ages

Its only a small close of medieval houses but it makes me proud that it is our country that has preserved this. The only one of its kind in its original state in Europe. Pretty, peaceful and well worth a look.

This was right next to the Wells Cathedral, so it's worth a quick glimpse if you have time, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to see it. It's really just a cute, small street with old houses lining both sides. Yes it's very old, but I didn't find there was a whole lot to look at.

Wished we lived here. Beautiful houses, but a bit of a shame that the inhabitants do not make more of their front gardens.
Such a unique enclave of houses and worth the visit

Why can't all streets be like this? Untouched, well maintained, full of character, cobbled street, lovely chimneys, it's as if one is transported to another time. Gorgeous!
